A beautiful, sunny day. Not a cloud in the sky. No wind or rain.
We had fun! Dog adoptions, games and contests for dogs and for families without dogs, demonstrations, training, prizes.....and so much more!
The Central Jersey Dystonia Support and Action Group’s 6th annual DOGS for Dystonia…a dog walk and so much more was held on Sunday, October 9, from noon to 3 PM, next to the lake in Turkey Swamp Park, Freehold Township.
This year, pre-registered dogs and pre-registered families without dogs received goody bags and tee shirts*. All registered dog and human attendees were eligible to win prizes and participate in our games and contests. Rescue organizations had pets available for adoption. *One per registration. Subject to availability. Tee shirt sizes as available.

Turkey Swamp Park is located at 200 Georgia Road, between Elton Adelphia Road (County Road 524) and Eli Harmony Road in Freehold, NJ.
Activities will include a dog walk, pet adoptions, "Hot Shots" costumed dog and child photographs, games, contests, demonstrations, instruction, vendors and prizes.

The Top Dog prize will be awarded to the dog or family that collects the most donation/sponsor money.
Turkey Swamp Park features ballfields, a 17 acre lake for boating, fishing and skating, miles of trails, an archery range and playgrounds. We're situated in a field with picnic tables near the lake. Our dog walk will be on a path along the lake. Besides being part of Dogs for Dystonia ..., participants will be able to boat on the lake (reasonable rentals available) and spend the day enjoying the park.
